The buzzing sound of your alarm echoing faintly, drawing you from your sleep. Slowly, your eyes opened—only to be welcomed with a blinding light that poured through the small opening of your curtains. Contemplating on whether or not you should ignore the ear splitting beeps or to turn the damned thing off, you settled with the latter, swinging your arm out from underneath the blanket to slap the top of the clock, stopping the alarm.

You brought your hands to your eyes, rubbing them softly as a yawn racked through your body. Lying on your back, you arched up from the mattress, stretching your drowsiness away with a content sigh. Besides you a snore erupted, making you giggle as lifted yourself onto your side. Peering over the blue blankets, you turned to face the culprit, your eyes meeting a messy head of charcoal colored hair peeking out from the covers.

“Rinnn~,” you whispered softly, jabbing your finger into his side gently. “Wake up~”

With a grunt, Rin rolled over to face you, his arms snaking their way around your waist to firmly hold you against his chest. “Shhhh, be quiet, (Name), it’s too early…”

Your smile widened as you snuggled closely to his warmth, his arms tightening their hold while he continued to snore softly.

Last week, Yukio had announced to the class that everyone would have the chance to take some time off from their studies as a little gift for scoring so highly on their previous test. But still, even if there was no class today, you didn't want to spend it lying in bed all day—especially on such a beautiful day as this one.

“Hey, come on you lazy bum,” you grinned.

Still no response.

You pursed your lips together thoughtfully. Squirming slightly in his tight embrace, you managed to push your way up closer to his sleeping face. It was always so refreshing to you to see your boyfriend in such a peaceful state, since every other second he wasn't unconscious he seemed to just burst with energy—but you couldn't complain, it made every bit of your relationship so much more exciting.

Placing your hand delicately on his cheek, the warmth radiated from his skin to yours. Gently, you lowered yourself to meet his lips to peck them sweetly. Waiting for his reaction, you saw his thin lips curl ever so slightly into a small grin. This close, you could see his pointed ears flicking at the smallest touch of your hand, feel the tickling sensation of his furry tail as it wrapped itself around your thigh, hear the soothing beat of his heart—all of this a pleasant reminder of the love that you two shared.

Your mind coming back to you, there was a short pause before you repeated the action, this time your lips lingering on his. But just a he began to shift in what you hoped was his attempt to get up, Rin ducked his head swiftly to nestle himself into the crook of your neck, murmuring ‘so cute’ before leaving small kisses alongside your neck, the gesture making your cheeks warm as another giggle escaped you.

Rolling your eyes at the boy, you slipped your arms around his neck, pulling your body closer to his. Combing your fingers through his hair, he spoke softly to you. “(Name)?”

“Yeah?”

Bringing himself to eye level with you, his deep blue eyes seemed to mesmerize you, the air between you both warming as he continued to look deeply into your eyes. “I’m hungry.”

At this you only sighed, unfortunately already used to his complete obliviousness and impeccable timing with things. “Way to ruin the moment.” You placed one last kiss onto his forehead before slipping out of the warm bed. “I’ll go downstairs to cook up something; you, on the other hand, need to get out by the time I finish or else I’ll just give it all to Ukobach.”

“Wha-? No! No please (Name)!” he whined after you, stumbling out of the covers to chase after your retreating figure.
